CHISWG
Walsall CHISWG
(Children’s Hearing Impaired
Services
Working
Group)
meets once
every
three
months to discuss
any issues
that arise in our
borough. The panel of
people
consists of,
consultants,
audiologists, NHSP
co-ordinator, speech
and
language therapists,
Walsall
education
representatives, NDCS area managers,
health
visitors, social
workers and
parents of
hearing
impaired
children. It is a
great opportunity for all those involved to share
information, report
progress
and raise any concerns
they
have. In the past
we have managed to secure some
signing
sessions at
the Field
Mice
toddler
group, learned
that Mr East
is
happy to
remove wax build
up from our
children’s
ears
and set up the
?>Walsall
DCS. Recently
the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme has had its
review and currently
everyone
is working to improve
any
areas which fell slightly
below what
was
expected. On a
whole though it
is very pleasing to know that we
have a
great team of people in our area, who work
hard
together, to give us and
our
children great
support. As a parent
representative on the CHISWG
panel, I
will be
regularly
updating this
space
with brief
minutes
from each CHISWG meeting. If you
have any
questions
you would
like to be put to
the panel, please e-mail me via the contact’s
page and I am more than happy to forward them on
your behalf. Agenda Of Next Meeting |
